Welcome to Salesforce Fundamentals. In this demo, we'll be covering lightning experience for sales, community cloud basics, marketing cloud basics, and getting started with accounts and contacts for lightning experience. Starting with lightning experience for sales module, you'll read about prospects and managing accounts and contacts, and simplifying productivity. You'll complete the module with hands-on challenge and customizing features for your team, which I'll demo now. As you go through this challenge, make sure you read through the concepts here as you'll build foundation knowledge before you take on the challenge. Once you're ready to take on the challenge, launcher Trailhead account and make sure you read through the instructions. Today, we're going to be creating a custom home page and a compact layout for the accounts section. Once your Trailhead has launched, go ahead and click on Setup. When you click on setup, you'll want to go to the Quick Find section and type in lightning. This will simplify the search for you and bring up the necessary tools that you need. You're going to go under User Interface because what we're going to be doing is going to be affecting the front end of Salesforce and click on Lightning App Builder. When you get to Lightning App Builder, you'll click New. From this section, you'll want to go back and make sure that you're following instructions along. We're going to prepare home page for our Managers, and we want a standard Manager home page, so make sure you copy this text. It should have the following components. Going back to our setup, we're going to click on the Home Page, click Next, label it with standard manager home page and click Next. This is a standard home page, so click Finish. This will take you to this prompt here. You'll be able to add all the components that you need. You can easily search your components by searching them by name here. The first one we'll need is an Assistant, the second one is Performance, and I like to have it at the top, and Today's events. You can mix and match how you want these components to look. Each one will change its layout based on where you want that module to be. It does not matter in which direction or how you set this up. As long as the components are here, you're good to go for the challenge. Now you'll want to click Save. This will prompt you for an activation and you'll want to activate it to complete the challenge. You'll want to assign it as Org Default and click Save. Now that you've completed this, you can go back and go back to your object builder and you will take on the second part of the challenge, which is creating a compact layout for accounts called Account Demo, so highlight the text and copy. The Account Demo compact layout must have the following fields Account Name, Annual Revenue, and Account Owner. Going back to setup, you'll want to click on Object Manager. Once you've done that, you'll want to search for Account and go down to Compact Layouts. You already have a system default here, but you'll want to create a new Compact Layout and you're going to name this Account Demo. Next name will automatically populate itself so you don't have to worry about that. You'll want to include the fields, Account Name, Annual Revenue, and Account Owner. Once you have those three components, make sure you verify with challenge here and click Save. Once you've done this, you'll complete the challenge. You'll move on to Community Cloud Basics and Marketing Cloud Basics before taking on accounting contexts for Lightning Experience. The last module will focus on accounts and contacts, and it will help you understand how to create new contacts and track contacts for your organization. I will demo this challenge for you now. As you can see from the Salesforce, I didn't close my Trailhead account because everything that I can make, you don't need to transition or closed these because anything that you do in your organization, you'll be able to check to challenge here. As I mentioned in some of the modules, you want to make sure that you follow along with the text that you have here to make sure that you've completed the entire challenge as a whole. We'll get started at the very top and we'll start with business accounts. Once we've launched our home page, we're going to be primarily working on the front end. We're going to go into the accounts tab and if it's not there, you want to go to sales, so let's do that now. As you can see, your front end is not completely setup, you'll want to click on these little toolbar here and go to Sales. You'll want to then follow along and click on Accounts. Once you've done this, you'll want to click New. In this new account, we want to follow along with the instructions provided here in accounts and contacts and App these themes. We're going to get Get Cloudy, the phone number, account number, the account site, what type of customer you're consulting and building city and state. The account name is Get Cloudy, the phone number, and make sure you spell it out completely and correctly, 775-555-5309. The account number is 117, accounts site is Single Location, and type is Customer-Direct, industry is Consulting, and building city, which is here is Reno, and province is Nevada. Click Save, and then you'll go on to the next thing. Now you'll scroll down to Contacts, which is labeled here and click New. Again, this is following along with the text, so we'll follow onto this next step. The next thing that we want to do is add the contacts. We want to add Alan Johnson, and title is Sales Manager, and email is alan@getcloudy.com. Make sure that all the account information is accurate. Click Save and New, and we're going to add a new contact, Leung Chen. Again, make sure that the spelling is correct. His title is Marketing Manager, and his email is leung@gogetcloudy.com. Click Save. I have to go back to Alan and make sure that I edit that email. Again, if you don't have the correct email or mistype something the challenge will not be able to read and you won't get your badge. Now, the task is also asking us to log a call. We're going to go into our account and we're going to log a call, and this is going to be under Leung, and we can make a comment. Once you're done with this, click Save. Now that you follow along with the text, you're ready to take on the challenge. We are going to create an account and a contact. If we haven't done this already through the challenge, this is what you'll do. You'll create an account for get cloudy and you'll create new contacts for Alan Johnson. Once you've done this, you can check your challenge and you'll be complete.
