This is an excellent course, even for seasoned PM's as it provides (a) deep reasoning of why we learned things in the past [i.e., cause and effect have strong connections in this course], and (b) the building blocks to formulate strong frameworks - such as proper communication plans and contents - with all the interweaving of fabric for success.

If you want to succeed in the interconnectedness of program, project, technical, and Google methods. then this course is ready for you, and I highly recommend it.

This course was very comprehensive and well taught, but two comments: if you are not familiar with the Google platform and using Google templates, ex: Google docs, Google forms, etc. completing some of the assignments and activities can be challenging. I am much more familiar with the Microsoft platform so using the Google templates was a bit challenging, especially the communication plan assignment. Also, if you don't have two monitors or screens completing the assignments and activities is also challenging.

I throughly appreciate this course. I learned several things that will undoubtedly help me in my Program Manager role. I would like to have viewed several of the methodolgies in action while learning about them. All in all , this course is very beneficial. The skills learned here are not only beneficial in a business setting but in organizing daily decisions, goals and routines. Gaining these skills then going onto any other profession is a smart value. Thank you Coursera!

This course is well done and I learned a lot! I have only a two negative points to comment, which are the extension of the course (it could be a bit shorter), and about the questions of last test of the 5th week, I found it a little discrepant with the course last week content. All in all, I congratulate the Google employees for effort and the beautiful job they made for us to learn. I appreciate the opportunitie and look forward to begin the 4th course. Thank you!

The last week on communication could have used more structure to it instead of the who what where apporach the\at kept changing up. You also might want to check some of your questions on the course as they have issues on how you phrase the answers or questions. An example was elements needed to "create" a communication plan but one of the answers was " reviewing it frequently" (not and exact quote) That to me would not be something you do in a "creation" phase.

Based on some statements made throughout the course it seems as if it is believed that persons take this course do so because they are looking to apply for a Project Management job or that they are already in a project management position and that is not the case all of the time. For example, I am taking the courses simply because I want to expand my knowledge...not because I am interested in searching for a project management position.

Seems like the last week of this course fell off and didn't have enough training material to stay on track for the planning phases. when it got into resume training and linkedin topics I started to question how much I was learning from this course. That type of information seemed out of place and should be closer to the end of the training course. Overall it was still good just seemed to lack a strong finish.

This is course no. 3 in the 6-course Google Project Management: Professional Certificate. Project Planning is a very well-put-together course with excellent production quality. It covers the planning phase components, defining tasks and milestones, project timelines and budgets, risk management, communication, etc. I spent a bit more time on this trying to digest the information. All-in-all time well spent.

Love the hands-on exercises. Would love it more if the course talks and teaches about building a portfolio of the exercises from the very beginning. I began building my library. But effectively organizing them to reflect the learning objectives of the courses is difficult. Maybe the Project Plan chart we just used can be the first thing. That way, we know to add to it each time we complete an exercise.

I learned a lot in this course and it was generally well-taught and well put together. However, this particular instructor wasn't my favorite, and I found most of the peer-reviewed assignments to be tedious and overly complex. I also thought that the last 2 modules were too long and repetitive and could have been covered with much less time/materials.

Week 5 was a little challenging as I felt the activity wasn't very clear when it came to directions. I am working from a Mac and a lot of the information provided didn't align with how a Mac works. Instead of using confusing terminology like "Source Sheet" just say "The Budget sheet". Other than that, I have no other issues. It's a great course!

Content was great, and very informative. Beware, though; some of your peer-reviewed projects will be marked down needlessly by unnecessarily competitive peers. Additionally, some of the test answers are beginning to only line up tangentially with the course material, and instead feel more like "guess what I'm thinking" questions.

I liked learning about risk management and communications plan and making project plans.

I did want to learn more about the different types of risk management strategies. I felt we could have used an extra lesson on that or more external resources for that.

The link for the Coursera Job Platform didn't work. There was an error.

- Lack of reading articles. Most of the times, the instructor only keeps speaking without underlining or highlighting from the presentation-slide. - The length should be improved in term of extending. since this is the HUGH topics. (ex. Fishbone diagram - There's a lot to cover more, cause many people use it incorrectly.)

The social media aspect of resume vs main resumes was not quite different and clear - I think we should show what should be in linkedin and what should be in the resume. Should the linkedin be exactly like the resume except with a few additions? Or should it be a summarized version of the resume.

Pls help with this

This course has equipped me with so much. Before, I would have so many problems with my projects perssonal or professional but that was because I didn't have the relevant documentation to help me through the process of running a successful project. With this course I now feel confident to take on my next project.

I would have been interested in more examples of communication failures. I feel like I'm developing a solid vocabulary from this course series. But I would have like to examine more instances where communication has failed and the recovery of that problem.

overall I enjoyed the course and I always take away from each video, constantly learning experience. What I don't like is the peer grades, waiting on somoene to grade projects when I'm ready to move on is holding me back from my goal of completion.

Concept of Peer Review is great. But peer's reviewing don't necessarily accurately grade. I found a mistake, after reviewing, that I would have marked wrong/not answers selected. Maybe a grade Exemplar for peers to review while grading would help.

Great information and very detailed!

I would have liked more information and direction in the Communication Plan section however, I was able to take the exemplar and compare my assignment to gain a better understanding.

Thanks Coursera!

Lots of great info. My only criticism would be that sometimes the information shared feels repetitive. I enjoyed learning about project planning because so many of the core principals are applicable in other fields and life in general.

I really appreciate the practical parts of this course - I learned a lot while doing the excercises. I only felt that this course was much harder and that it didnt prepare me as good for the final quizes like the other courses before.

Peer review have some shortcomings. There should be paid option to review assignments. Depending on the complexity, I think something between $1 to $10 USD could be doable for those that want feedback from an experience practitioner.
